Health Screening - Blood Pressure Testing at the Bay View Mall

2008
Community Service
Outreach

Health Screening
Health Screening is offered to the community as a service to encourage the knowledge and improvement of individual health. Blood Pressure Tests are provided free of charge to community members each month. Free health information is provided by our health-care professionals and free health literature is available to all.

Loyalist Good Food Box
The Loyalist Good Food Box is a service offered to all students attending Loyalist College in Belleville. The Good Food Box is provided by the Community Development Council of Quinte (CDC) and was introduced to the college in December 2006. Loyalist students register with the CDC the first week of the month, paying a fee of $20. On the third Wednesday of the month the CDC delivers a box of healthy food including produce and recipes with a value of $40 - $50 to the students. Our church is partnering with the CDC by providing 'extra items' which are not always possible to be covered by the CDC's budget. These extras include: cereal, peanut butter, granola bars or 100% fruit juice.

Emergency Food Aid
The Belleville Church maintains a food cupboard for individuals and families in emergency situations within Hastings County. Upon approval recipients receive a supply of food. This is an on-going ministry accessible throughout the year.
