Home > Recipes > Breakfast > Stewed fruit Ingredients 4 cups water 1 cup dried apples 1 cup pitted prunes ⅓ cup dried apricots Dash cinnamon 2 tsp orange rind, grated optional 2 tbs orange juice, unsweetened Instructions In a saucepan, combine water, apples, prunes, apricots, orange rind (if using) and orange juice. Over medium to high heat, bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 10-15 minutes until tender but not mushy. Let cool and serve. Notes Can be covered and refrigerated for up to one week, stirring occasionally.
